I like the design, it's simplistic and modern.

A few things:
- why didn't you make the index page that would have been shown to a new visitor? The whole point of this redesign is to attract more new people. Would the site show a signup form? and where? What would be different if the user wasn't logged in?
- perhaps add live statistics, like 1.539 users online, 5.024.324 guests, 148 questions being answered right now, 13.435 questions already answered today.

@TheSmartOne The live stats can be a constant that changes every time soneone logs in or out, posts a question, etc. It is really not that hard to update.

@thomaster The new user login stuff can go where the existing user stuff is.

@e.mccormick , agreed. I had an idea for a transparent overhang for the login screen, but this just seemed too cluttered. Instead of the ,"Welcome Back, Compassionate," we could change it to, "Welcome to OpenStudy!" and where the icon goes we can add login information.

I like the idea of expandable statistics. For example, you click something on the homepage and a simplistic drop-down menu appears with statistics.

I understand how we should think before we act but we tend to use too much time on thinking and at the end nothing gets done but a bunch of detailed planning.

Would it be better to contact the design team and get the changes done on the go or is it necessary to plan it first.

Linda3 is actually a good artist. She writes books and illustrates for them, too
