Please help me!! How do you calculate net area under a given curve using area of geometric shapes?

Also, how do you use the net change theorem to calculate the net change of a quantity on an interval?

Well for your first question, you can really use any shape and draw it under the curve and find the area of the shape. Generally, people use rectangles or rhombuses to estimate the area.
