Ethos applies to emotion.

For example, those commercials for the Animal Services, where they show animals who are hurt, locked up in cages.. That's ethos. It makes you sad and want to donate to the organization.

Ethos appeals to ETHICS, pathos appeals to emotion, logos appeals to logic.

Ah yes, thank you for that correction. I always think ethos is emotion, because (e)thos, (e)motion.. But it's (e)thos, (e)thics
