Which points are on the graph of f(x) = 5x? (2, -25) (0,1) (2,10) (-1, 1/5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Surely this isn't so difficult? just take each X value and multiply it by 5, see if it matches the Y value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so... c? though, the question asks for multiple so i feel like theres more... just making sure, you're saying all i have to do is say... with (2,10), 2 x 5, and if it equals the other number (10) then its correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, that's all a function is. if f(x)=5x, then you do to x whatever the function says. points on f(x) if it were a line would be 1, 5 2, 10 3, 15 4, 20.... and so on. if it were f(x)=2x, it'd be 1, 2 2, 4 3, 6 4, 8 5, 10... and so on...
