Will give medal to whoever helps!!!!! The figure below shows two congruent triangular parks. What equation would help you to solve for the side length of BC and EF? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences. I understand how to do the distance formula but I am unsure about what to do with it.

where is your figure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am uploading the picture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I posted it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x-15=x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do I do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now what do I do with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug it in and solve: 3(7)=7-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 21 = 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which doesnt make any sense to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, wait, its just 7, thats your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. what would I say to answer this "What equation would help you to solve for the side length of BC and EF? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just tell what you did in sentences to get the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so I would say.. I took the equation 3x-15=x-1 and solved for x. My answer is x=7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that'll work
