Two individuals start the same training program at the same time, but one is able to grow muscle faster and larger than the other. What is the least likely explanation for this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

protein

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, but protein isnt always the cure for everything in muscle building/strength training. it could be your diet or how you train yourself because if you train yourself to lift heavier weight then have a healthy diet you would still be able to grow muscle faster. it all just depends what their workout routine is like or how often they lift, etc. because if you lift/workout constantly then you wont grow any muscle at all, to gain you have to atleast workout 2-3 days a week because you need time for recovery, so therefore it doesnt matter about the protein intake because even if someone lifted more than the other but the other lifted more and only worked out 2-3 days a week for an hour they would get better results rather than the person who just eats alot of protein, and you would just get smaller as in the protein wouldnt work as you wanted it to you would be eating it for no reason

and if you workout alot then dont/or have a healthy diet you would still end out bulky as you wouldnt see the muscle tone you would only see skin like when you dont flex. it is important to see what you are able to do first for your body, because sometimes you can actually hurt yourself by starting out heavy just to see who could lift the most. so its not about how much someone can do it , its about how good your endurance/strength is in what you are doing

but you should be seeing results about every 2-4 weeks depending how your workout is but you need to diet first for like a month or two to get used to it.

or you want to tone the other muscle groups before you actually go for another but just use it once in a while like i bench but to get my max higher, i max. on tricep extention to help my other muscles grow to decrease my bench
