OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Human sperm cells and egg cells are... A. haploid, each containing 23 chromosomes. B. haploid, each containing 46 chromosomes. C. diploid, each containing 23 chromosomes. D. diploid, each containing 46 chromosomes.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

I know its A or C, but I don't know which.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

@shrutipande9 @Abhisar @micahm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haploid, each containing 23 pairs of chromosomes. (22 pairs of autosomal chromosomes and 1 pair of sex chromosome) Even though the body has diploid cells. They would only become diploid after fusion of the gametes and formation of the zygote.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Its A , right?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Both are gametes, and gametes are haploid. A diploid human cell has 46 chromosomes and haploid cell has half of it

OpenStudy (abhisar):

yes

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

yay awesome! I got 100%

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Cervix, f-tube and vagina are secondary se organs, ovary is primary sex-organ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ovaries are the females gonads. They produce eggs or ova. In males, its the testes producing sperms or spermatozoa. I know you did'nt ask for this, but just saying. ;)
