No matter the skill, if you wish to advance you must look for challenges.  Find things that take a little more skill than you have.  Go for them.  When they become easier, step it up.  Even try some really hard things until you find the balance that works for you.  That is, you need to learn what is hard enough to make you learn faster but not so hard that you just struggle for months on end.
