Topic Owls for OpenStudy Tutorial Forum
Hello everyone ! Need some topic wise owls for the Tutorial Forum. The resolution should not be low. It would be best if someone can edit this template and add some stuffs to relate it with physics, chemistry, maths, bio and etc..
https://owlsofopenstudy.weebly.com/owls @iGreen has an Einstien that could be used for Physics. @sammixboo has a good one for Math and that Music owl.
:3
Yay thomas...thanks..!
Thom has the best. My favorite is his CosmicOwl1. The first one.
i like both but @thomaster second one too good \(\color{red}{:)}\)
Need more owls....for physics, biology and chemistry.
thom's firrst one is good.
iGreen's Einstien owl could be used for physics.
my physics owl!!
Chemist owls
biology owl
@Catlover5925 It would be better if you could base your ols off of the OpenStudy Owl.
yea I know but I don't have anything where I can edit the pics so I just fornd them on google, lol @GreenCat
Use this.
@Catlover5925 after seeing your owl seem like you don't like physics and chemistry :P jk
I hate chemistry but I haven't taken physics yet, lol @Nnesha
yep i got that after seeing owl :P good you are catlover not chemistry :)
Normal chem is easy. Real AP chem is hard. Physics is hard, fun, and confusing.
I like Physics. On lab days, my professor shows us vids of the author teaching from when he was younger. He acts stupid/drunk/high.
sounds good \(\color{green}{:)}\)
Looking for Master Owl Makers should be the title lol
Yeah, you can use my Einstein Owl for Physics.
Yay! That's cool, Thanx @iGreen , but the owl should look similar to the music owl template.
btw,. anyone knows how to make these owls ?
?
What do you mean..? @Abhisar
How do you make these owls...like what software do you guys use ?
I meant..what do you mean by 'but the owl should look similar to the music owl template'? And I use GIMP. I just took stuff from online photos, cut them out, and pasted and resized them onto the owl.
I used Paint...
So, I couldn't copy and paste textures....
Owkay, thank you guys...but anyone has the original owl template.
There it is..
Yes, that one...thank you very much @iGreen ! Now it's time to test my own owl skills.....HOOT HOOT :D
Lol.. :P
Lol
I'm sure you'll do great. :)
haha..fingers crossed :D
:P
:) lol
The owl I made won't post here. D:
Lemme take a print screen of it.
man...there are too many tools in GIMP and i don't know how to use any of them.....my owl skills died...i am crying HOOT HOOT ;(
;O
Man, the file is huge, It's taking forever to upload it on http://prntscr.com/
?
Ah, what tools do you need to find?
IT'S ALMOST DONE! :D
Ok, It's taking forever again. ;-;
I'll try taking a printscreen and explaining each of them.
The regular owl cannot be easily changed in paint so I use a different owl.
You should probably look up a tutorial..
Thanx for that quick guide @iGreen and @AnswerMyQuestions that's good but you simpy pasted the owl on that picture...:D
I know. LOL!
But I worked hard on it. :(
:3
How is the TutoriOwls search going?
@e.mccormick not very well .... i decided to make them myself but i found it something out of my current capabilities.
Well, a tool like synfig would make a nice vector based original that would be a bit more flexable than say a png. Then the creation of a consistent, cartoon like image is easier.
I see...thanx eric...i'll try it..
I think that basing all the subject owls on the Music owl would look too repetitive.
Common foundation for uniformity is intended to have a somewhat repetitive nature. Then it is the accessories that add unique results.
OOPS! Synfig is for vector animation.... I meant Inkscape... vector drawing. Oops! My bad.
I have too many programs. =P
I bet I was thinking Synfig becaise Inkscape makes SVG files... anyhow, here is a template, a multi-layer academic owl made atop the template, and a PDF export at 300\(\times\)300 resoulution. By using the biezer curve tool I was able to make some very clean lines in the items.
wahoooooo owl gonna graduate this year yep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i like that
I could have expoted it a any size. The lines would still b clean and clear because what defines them is their mathematical description, or Vector. =) https://inkscape.org/en/
Oh, and you can trace images if you need a good starting point, though for most basic objects that is just overkill.
Wow, what..? We have to make all of them like the music owl? :l
No not identical to music owl.....but similar to it...the owls should like similar or what's the word..?..uniform..
o:
@greencat Ikr?
So my Einstein Owl doesn't work? D:
>:)
xD
I can always make it smaller.
Yah, the goal is uniform design, a style. You want things to have the same feel if not the same exact look. Otherwise it just looks cobbled together and random.
Um..I still don't get it..
