OpenStudy (haileyd):

Please explain this..?

OpenStudy (haileyd):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the slope formula \[\frac{ 24-18 }{ x-6 }=3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the slope formula?

OpenStudy (haileyd):

yeah y=mx+b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }=m\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

t=mx+b is the slope intercept form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m=the slope = 3 in your case

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so going back to \[\frac{ 24-18 }{ x-6 }=3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

time each side by (x-6) on the left they will cancel out and on the right you will get 3(x-6) so you have 24-18=3(x-6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@HaileyD can you get it from there?

OpenStudy (haileyd):

yeah thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what did you get?

OpenStudy (haileyd):

ill figure it out its fine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay
