in what ways was the american revolution revolutionary?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can recall that some historians argued that the social class structure from before the revolution didn't change after the revolution. How can i counter argue this if i was against that american revolution not be revolutionary. (i believe it's revolutionary)
