Use the distributive property to simplify the expression. -(7f-z) Okay, so I am a bit confused.. usually I add the -7 to both? Do I cancel out the negative or keep it negative?

Alright, the distributive property an algebra property which is used to multiply a single term and two or more terms inside a set of parentheses. So, we'd multiply the - sign by everything in the parentheses. -(7f - z) To make it easier, put a 1 after the - sign. -1(7f - z) -7f -1(-z) Two negatives multiplied together equals a positive. -7f + 1z Or, -7f + z. Understand now? (:
