Alright, the distributive property an algebra property which is used to multiply a single term and two or more terms inside a set of parentheses.
So, we'd multiply the - sign by everything in the parentheses. 
-(7f - z)
To make it easier, put a 1 after the - sign. 
-1(7f - z) 
-7f -1(-z)
Two negatives multiplied together equals a positive. 
-7f + 1z 
Or, -7f + z.
