OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 dice are roll one white and one red , what is the probability the value on the red die will be strictly larger than the the value on the white die

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so all probabilities is 36 out comes ,

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can we go about which outcomes are not higher than the white and subtract

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

it's the same amount of work either way...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can make a chart but how would i go about the top part bc i know it will be over 36 outcomes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the bottom , red should be started at 2 and white at one

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

WHITE .... RED > Whit one ...... 5 possible ways red can be greater than one (if red is 2,3,4,5 or 6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so for white one -> there is 5 values of red are larger , tw0 -> there is 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

etc so this is by using a chart 5+4+3+2+1 = 15/36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there a math approach ?

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

that's it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thx
