a frame shift a point mutation..... a frameshift is when it changes more than 3- types of codon downstream.....

A point mutation is isolated in a single codes... like if a base has been replaced Whereas a frameshift mutation causes a change in the entire DNA sequence, like when an extra base has been added, or an existing one removed, causing the entire sequence to change.
