can anyone on here help me for a min please

OpenStudy (kamibug):

What's your question? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my question is this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A preimage includes a line segment of length x and slope m. If the preimage is dilated by a scale factor of n, what are the length and slope of the corresponding line segment in the image? length = nx, slope = nm length = nx, slope = m length = x, slope = m length = x, slope = nm length = (n + m)x, slope = nm

OpenStudy (kamibug):

The slope will not be affected by a dilation. So slope is still equal to m. However, the length will be affected because a dilation causes a change in size. So which answer do you think it is? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4th

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Well, the 4th one is actually the opposite. We're looking for the one where slope = m and length = nx. So B is your answer. :)

oh okay thank you so much
