Sasha has been running a bicycle delivery service for more than a year. Her business is going well, but she is having a hard time managing her accounts and keeping up with her budget. What would be a good business decision for her to make?
She should get a partner to help share with the responsibilities
I would suggest 3 alternatives:- 1- If the business is sufficiently large, and there are many transactions to monitor, then hire a full time accountant. 2- If the business is relatively small, buy few hours of an accountants time.He/She will provide you with necessary accounting information and you only pay for the hours of service. ( I think this may seem odd but I have seen some organizations around me who don't need a full time accountant and many of them buy 1 accountant's services. He manages all their accounts.) 3- If Sasha is willing, she might learn basic computerised accounting skill herself which is relatively easy to develop. I would have not mentioned option 3 but since we are talking about accounting here ,I think every business owner should have basic information of accounting. No offence but I find the suggestion of getting a business partner inappropriate. The need here is of a person who has necessary skills.A partner without accounting skills is not of much use . Responsibilty can be taken when one has relevant skill for it. If the potential partner does have accounting skills, still there is no need for her to make him/her partner if she only needs his/her accounting services.
