what are the steps for solving f(x)=2g(x+1) when x=2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is g(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g(x) is pulled from several points on a given graph: (2,0), (-1,1), (1-2) and (2,0). We are to identify from a choice of new graphs which graph includes the fuction of f f(x)=2g(x+1). I know we are to select one of the given points in g(x) so I selected point (2,0). With that, f(x)=2g(2+1). The solution I get is f(2) = 6g but where do I go from there? I've never seen an function equation like this one before.

More info: We then have to identify a new point (x,y) using anyone of the points from g(x) - recall that I've selected (2,0) - and locate the new point on of of the new graphs given. The graph that contains the new point (x,y) is the answer. I hope I'm making sense.
