I have a idea how about when some wants to post a question a moderator looks at it before it gets posted to see if its spam or not and if it is it doesn't get posted

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Well if you did that, @TheAsker2002, then it would take way too long to get questions that are actually questions posted.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Welcome to math chat with Stephen Today we will be discussing the idea of approved questions There are over 2,000,000 unique users There is, at approximation, 50 moderators, with only, maybe, 15 active. 2,000,000/15 This means the users have the moderators beat 133,333 - 1. Now, at any given time, there is anywhere from 2 - 3 moderators active. Lets take the highest number, 3, for a given time period. And, if no moderator was online by happenstance, then no questions would be asked. Drawing a rough estimate, every few seconds a moderator would have to approve pending questions. This will ultimately make the tasks they have (fighting off spammers and trolls) even harder. At OpenStudy, we believe in self-moderation. If you see something that's spam - report it. The majority of threads are not spam; so no need to accommodate to solve the minority. Most spam threads are, regardless, reported and delete due to the help of people like you and our Ambassadors. Now lets say that, of all total for that time period of 5 hours, there is a total of 2,000 questions asked. If you take 2,000/3 then round it to the nearest whole number; that means that each moderator would have to approve 666 questions. And 666, as we all know, is the mark of evil. Illuminate Confirmed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly. If there's no mods online, that means no questions. ^^

OpenStudy (greencat):

This math chat is WAY better than the math chat on the bottom of the page. btw... I know your name now. It's Stephen, not Stephan.

OpenStudy (greencat):

OpenStudy would become stagnant and ClosedStudy.

@confluxepic \[\huge\color{blue}{The~best~police~force~is~the~people\\themselves.}\] \[\color{blue}{By~Confluxepic}\] I made this up while reading what @Compassionate just said.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

It doesn't make that much sense because the spammers can be included as the people. But some of the people can help fight the spammers.

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Trueeeee

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Apple must live by that motto...

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

That looks better.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

I'm sure @e.mccormick knows a few things about ra-..mouses.
