For her exercise today, Yolanda plans to both run and swim. Let r be the number of laps she runs and let s be the number of laps she swims. Each lap she runs takes her 4 minutes, and each lap she swims takes her 2 minutes. She wants to exercise for more than 30 minutes today. Using the values and variables given, write an inequality describing this.

thankkkk youuu @sangya21 , can you help with this one xoxo A landscaper is planting a tree that is now 48cm tall. The tree will grow 3cm per month for x months. The tree will grow to be at most ycm tall. Write an inequality showing this relationship.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As the height of tree will increase 3cm per month for x months then the total growth will be 3x the height shouldnt be more than y so eq will be 48+3x< y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that was wrong

@sangya21

\[48+3x \le y\]

At Jenny's auto shop, it takes her 9 minutes to do an oil change and 12 minutes to do a tire change. Let x be the number of oil changes she does. Let y be the number of tire changes she does. Using the values and variables given, write an inequality describing how many oil changes and tire changes Jenny can do in less than an hour ( 60 minutes).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9x+12y<60

A farmer is comparing the number of eggs laid by two hens. The first hen laid 6 eggs per week for x weeks. The second hen laid 7 eggs per week for y weeks. The total number of eggs laid by the first hen was greater than the total number of eggs laid by the second hen. Write an inequality showing this relationship.

Ashley's final exam has true/false questions, worth 4 points each, and multiple choice questions, worth 5 points each. Let x be the number of true/false questions she gets correct, and let y be the number of multiple choice questions she gets correct. She needs at least 76 points on the exam to get an A in the class. Using the values and variables given, write an inequality describing this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kah.x , @sangya21 can u help with that one ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x+5y>76

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x+5y>=76

OpenStudy (anonymous):
