What advice do you think the writer would give to American politicians today? Explain and give specific examples from the ideas of the philosopher you chose.

A specific example would be the checks and balances system. Created by Founding Father James Madison, it ensures each branch of government, executive, legislative, and judiciary, are able to be approved and overruled of. The legislative branch may want to pass a bill that the President doesn't approve of, hence he vetoes it. The legislative branch, if they continue to fight for the bill and may overrule the Presidents veto with a two-thirds vote, which will give them their access to pass the bill. c:
