Any ideas for fundraising?? Please help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm, maybe one of those bakesale things? Car wash? Making crafts and selling them at ridiculous prices while saying it's a low price? Garage sale? Sometimes asking people to contribute works too...I've failed fundraising so many times, so I really don't know much. Though I hope these help

Use www.gofundme.com or indiegogo

Gofundme and other fundraising cites have never worked for me personally. If you have friends or family that would be willing to help you out, or a cause that makes pretty much everyone feel moved, it works. But it doesn't work if you don't have a very good cause, and/or are asking people with no money or that aren't willing to help you out.

I have tried to do personal fundraisers for things such as getting a new computer for schooling on or groceries, etc. But no one ever funds me because most people don't care sadly.

Oh, also if you're good at art, writing, etc. You should do commissions. Commissions are where you draw a picture or write a story (short or long depending on the desired amount of money and other varying factors) and you ask people for something to have said product. If you for instance said that you would write someone a story for a certain amount of money per, say, chapter for example, you'd earn maybe some money. This doesn't always work, but it's pretty effective.

Example if you were doing art commissions: I'm currently doing commissions. A quick drawing/sketch of a person/animal/etc. is [insert a number of dollars ranging from 1-5ish]. A colored picture costs [insert a number one-two and a half dollars more]. It costs an extra .50 cents(or something like that) for added characters. For example, if you wanted a colored picture with three people and a horse that would cost $8.00! ~end of example~

I hope this helps. <:)

Thanks for the ideas, I'm in a gay straight alliance club and we are trying to help another GSA in another school, because they are not a real actual club yet because the school wont let them. They had like 300 people that joined and were fighting for the club for 3 years and now there's only 8 people that hadn't dropped out yet. So we are trying to think of ideas to raise money to help them out.

We used to do simple lemonade sales in our front yard. It really just depends on how much you want.
