The first step in this problem is to change 1 1/2 to an improper fraction. 1 1/2 as an improper fraction is 3/2. Now you need to add all the fractions together but they have to have the same denominator. You need to find the GCF of 2, 4, and 8. The GCF is 8. So the new fraction are 12/8, 6/8, and 1/8. Now you can add up all the numerators and keep the same denominator. This is 19/8.
