because on the left side is total medal for all subjects :)_

1278 medals that you receive by asking question and
its just not that you earn from math section
thats all of them (English science etc.)

left is total medals

like 5 people could give you medals but it would only appear as one "Medal for Answer"

From what I have seen, Medals for ANswers is when the asker gives you a medal, as opposed to when anyone gives you a medal for asking or answering.

Because those are your medals for answering questions, and the one at the left is all the medals, because people gave you medals for asking questions.
