5x2 - 45 = 0

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Is that 5 time 2 or 5 to the 2nd power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10+45=? 45+0=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you fan me and medal me?

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

\[5 x 2\] or \[5^{2}\]

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

If it's 5 times 2 then... 5 x 2 - 45 = 0 PEMDAS Multiply 5 by 2 10 - 45 = 0 Add 45 to both sides 10 = 45

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

That's an untrue statement btw

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

So I'm thinking it's 5x to the 2nd power, as that would include a variable

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

So if it's 5x to the second power \[5x ^{2} -45 = 0\] Do your exponets 25x - 45 = 0 Add 45 to both sides 25x = 45 Divide both sides by 25 x = 45/25
