I think OS should add a new feature whereas the creator of a post can delete comments, mostly for spam. STOP ADDING USELESS FEATURES LIKE "SMART-CENTS" AND GET CREATIVE PEOPLE. There is still no chat filter for spam either.

I think your average contributor would have no idea how to differentiate a good reply from a poor reply. Spam is one thing, and perhaps that could be deleted with accuracy. I had one, just today, one student simply refused to see that his usage of the absolute value was entirely incorrect. I can see that correct information would be deleted in such a case and incorrect information added to the historical record.

Id write a computer program, that factored in all the rules of OS, make it carry out justice, a perfect algorithm of justice

Scans through all text, examines the count of swear words, the time between comments, spur and erratic behavior calculated, and judgement released

Then someone(not me) could just hack this free mod. The only reason why someone hasn't been able to hijack the mods account is because they use sessions. If a moderator were just a computer program, it would work differently and I bet it would have many exploits.

Oh well im not saying he isnt helpful, but regardless of that, if that certain user wants to delete a useful comment than that's his loss and education. Spam is a huge problem on OS and nothing is really being done about it since we've asked.

That is okay what aggravates users is partiality, once they see my robotic impartial methods, they cannot complain. We're all hypocrites, of course. This does not necessarily imply that views are of no value. However, if it is argued that users should have the right to reject the Terms and Conditions they agreed to observe, then that is not a valid argument.

I believe that having the creator of a post have the ability to delete another person's comment can e abused ;( What if a person you don't like is trying to help you, and you just delete their comment, because you just don't like them. Just report that comment or message a mod about it :)
