is for six months 
6500 is left to pay  so after another six months(12 months total) it would be 5000 left to pay, another six months (18 months total) it would be 3500 left to pay, another six months(24 months) it would be 2000 left to pay after another six months(30 months) it would be 500 left to pay
one more month(31 months) it would be 250 left to pay

The sequence is supposed to show the balance of each month, not how much is taken out after each month.
So wouldn't the sequence be:
7,750, 7,500, 7,250, 7,000, 6,750, 6,500?
