Factor completely -4x2 + 16x - 24. -1(x2 - 16x + 24) -4(x2 - 4x + 6) -4x(x2 - 4x + 6) -4(x2 + 4x - 6)

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

-4x^2 + 16x - 24....we need to find a number that will go into -4,16,and -24. That number would be -4, so lets factor it out. -4(x^2 - 4x + 6).....and to check it, multiply it out and see if you get the original problem. check.. -4(x^2 - 4x + 6) = -4x + 16x - 24 (correct)
