OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

What is 15 divided by 90? This will be your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[1\div6\]

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

More like 0.1666 infinity but you could round to 0.167

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anytime! :)

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

This is applicable to ALL fraction to decimal problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to convert to a percent 1/8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same thing divide: \[1\div8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.125?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i need a percent..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and a percent is based of of 100 perCENT

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

When changing a decimal to percent, always move the decimal point two places to the RIGHT. Move the point to places two the RIGHT and tell me what you get. **

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

Typo in my original answer, lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i convert 0.6 to a fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As I explained earlier .1 is 1/10 so what do you think?

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

0.6 is the same as .60. If you follow my past instructions, you will also realize this is equivalent to 60%. As @shelbygt520 explained earlier, a percent is based off of 100. Once you find the fraction, make sure to reduce it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 3/5

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

Yes! Good work.

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

60/100 -> 3/5. nice. :~)
