I have a physics problem and I can't obtain the correct time. I have a pendulum problem involving conservation of momentum and conservation of energy. I've solved that portion of the problem to obtain a velocity of 6.48 m/s. Now I'm using 2-d Kinematic equations to find the time but I can't seem to figure it out. The projectile striking the pendulum is measured at 5.8 cm and has elastic collision at 14.6 cm. I should be getting a time of 0.4213 seconds but I can't get that value. Any ideas???
