A paragraph mostly contains 3-5 sentences. :) Not all paragraphs include a topic sentence with details and all, because if you are writing a narrative story you don't need that stuff. The thesis statement is usually at the beginning, because it tells you what the story is going to be about, so it maps out the whole writing And a paragraph break is for when you are starting a new paragraph :P
