Hi. I'm working on a story called "Let the Stars Fall Down", and like with everything else I write, I fail at detail. Any tips on how to add detail in any written works in general? Thank you.

Adding detail is typically one of the most enjoyable parts of writing because it is the part of writing that truly allows the author to express his/herself! My biggest suggestion is to use imagery all over the place. Imagery and details that appeal to the senses (smell, touch, sound, etc) will make your writing so much more enjoyable to read. Imagery is especially useful when you introduce a new setting, character, or situation. Improving sentence structure and syntax will also help you build up details. Using literary tools like antithesis will naturally implement more details into your writing. Hope this helps, and best of luck with your story!

Just imagine you are watching it like you would a movie. except you stop several times to observe everything around you and describe what you see. :)
