factor all the way out a^8-a^2b^6

OpenStudy (shinalcantara):

\[a^8-a^2b^6\] Notice that in the two terms the common factor is \[a^2\] So,factoring out a^2 you'll have: \[a^2(a^6-b^6)\] Recall \[(x^2-y^2) = (x+y)(x-y)\] \[a^2(a^3-b^3)(a^3+b^3)\]
