No, you use trig identities.
sqrt( 1 - sin^20) / sin 0 ) sqrt( 1 - sin^2(x)) / sin(x) ) = sqrt( cos^2(x) ) / sin(x) = cos(x) / sin(x) = cot(x). Therefore, b is correct.
