Lisa spent $67 for a skateboard and $25 for a protective helmet. What percent of the total amount that Lisa spent was the price of the skateboard? Round to the nearest tenth of a percent, if necessary

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First we need to find the total amount then we can find what % of that the skateboard is. To find the total we do: \[Total = Skateboard + Helmet\]\[T=S+H\] Then you can find the percentage by dividing the host of the skateboard into the total cost: \[P_{skateboard} = \frac{skateboard}{total} \times 100\]
