My school council has decided that students will be required to perform 15 hours of community service each school year. Are you for or against this and why?

Actually I already wrote a hook and thesis statement and part of the first paragraph. Here's what I have:
Why volunteer? People volunteer for various numbers of reasons, one simply wanting to help others. But it's also a very fine idea to benefit the students of this school as well. Volunteering is a healthy way to gain better moods and also benefits the economy. An estimated value of a volunteer's time is $15.39 per hour saving money that can be used to better improve the community!
Volunteer work is also a great way to gain proffesional experince for the near future which means that a person is more likely to land a job. Community service could be a great way to keep our school in a stable and disciplined environment.

I beieve that our school should require each student to perform 15 hours of community service/volunteer work every school year because, volunteering could cause a student to look like a hard working and well trained student for the future and make the student more likely to land a job in a proffessional field. And research says that volunteering has slowly been declining by a rate of 39% since 2011.We need more youth and just people in general to step up and do something about it because research also states that volunteer work helps students to achieve missions and builds stronger communities.

FIRST PARAGRAPH:
I have a lot of experience with volunteering since my family and I started a ministry to help the homeless people in Seattle nearly two years ago. Helping them also caused me to learn a lot about the importance of learning and pursuing my goals. I think that our school will aquire unlimited amounts of knowledge from serving their community.
Of course, a few students may protest at the idea simply because of the fact that they can not find the time toward a cause that gives no payment in return.
But a person who volunteers; the benefits they gain from community service may end up being worth more than what they would make working a part-time job! And additionally, they also boost in socializing skills and raising awareness for important organizations that will gain them more and more through the years.

When a student commits to community work that shows that the student is willing to work without monetary compensation like college internships that may be required for college programs.
Internships are a good way for students to shadow and learn more in order to succeed in landing great careers.
