Please help with Algebra 2 questions. 1. Find a quadratic equation with roots -1+4i and -1-4i. 2. Use the binomial Theorem to expand the binomial. (d-4b)^3

Is question 1 also 2 questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I have to find a quadratic equation with both of those roots in it.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

first question: \[\lambda ^{2}+2\lambda+17=0\] you have to perform the subsequent multiplication: \[(\lambda-(-1+4i))*(\lambda-(-1-4i))=0\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

@KatieBear Question 2: using the Tartaglia's triangle, we have the coefficient: 1, 3, 3, 1 so the expantion is: \[1*d ^{3}+3d ^{2}*(-4b)+3d*(-4b)^{2}+(-4b)^{3}=\] please continue yourself
