OpenStudy (anonymous):

4. length= 12.3

OpenStudy (greencat):

4. A= L * w L=A/w

OpenStudy (philcua):

On question one it wont let me type in a number

OpenStudy (greencat):

1. '9.5' * 'w' = '133'

OpenStudy (philcua):

@ohlookidontunderstandanotherthing

OpenStudy (philcua):

i need help with numbers three and five

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (philcua):

Ok well ok

OpenStudy (philcua):

The temperature of a gas decreases 0.045°C every minute for 8 min. What is the change in the temperature of the gas? Use a positive or negative number to express the change in the temperature of the gas. °C=

OpenStudy (philcua):

If you see question marks just refresh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The keyword here is decreases. This shows a negative value. So this means it goes -0.045 every 8 mins.

OpenStudy (philcua):

so that is the answer or do you multiply it as a negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes the change is -0.045°C every 8 mins

OpenStudy (philcua):

Ok thank you last one need help with number 5

OpenStudy (philcua):

5. (1 pt) Would each situation be represented by a positive or a negative number? Column A Column B 1. A number of pizzas have been ordered, and 0.25 of all of the pizzas have been eaten. Express the amount of pizza remaining. 2. $2.50 per week has been earned for w weeks. Express the amount of money earned. 3. A town’s population, p, decreased by 4.5%. Express the change in the population. 4. A credit card account has 3 charges of $45 and no payments. Express the balance of the credit card. A. positive B. negative

OpenStudy (philcua):

You have to label them as positive or negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha it loaded! Part 1. The first one is tricky. It would lead you to believe that it is going to be negative BUT the final answer is going to be positive as not all of the pizza's are gone. Part 2. He earned money so it will be positive. He added to his bank account Part 3. This one will be decreased as it says express the change in the population, not the final amount. It clearly states it decreases 4.5 percent. Hope I helped!

OpenStudy (philcua):

Yes you did but may I ask what about 4

OpenStudy (philcua):

And 3 will be positive or negative I think neither but I could be wrong cause I dot think it is possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright so the final answer is the area. The formula for Area is Length X Width. It gives us the width of 9.6. So we should fill in our equation of (x)(9.6)=118.08. We can inverse this and complete the equation 118.08/9.6=X. Thats your equation.

OpenStudy (philcua):

What does this answer go though three four

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That answer is for four. Im solving three now.

OpenStudy (philcua):

Ok thank you so much you should be the doctor after peter capauldi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Number 3 is going to be the answer -0.27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you need an explanation on how to reach this number?

OpenStudy (philcua):

I I I failed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What numbers did you get wrong?

OpenStudy (philcua):

3 and 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Huh. I don't know how. I tried my best. Sorry!

OpenStudy (philcua):

;-(

OpenStudy (greencat):

3. is supposed to be -0.36 What did you put?
