Which statement describes how work and power are similar

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

@bborgelin123 \[power=\frac{ work }{ time }\] by definition of power

OpenStudy (mrnood):

This is about the3rd time this question has arisen here To my mind it is a meaningless question Work and power have different dimensions and describe different physical phenomena. They are not really 'similar' in any way. Power is related to work in the same way that velocity is related to distance, or current related to charge. What on EARTH is the meaning of this question?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

maybe the question has been translated from another language badly How are work and power RELATED makles more sense (and could be confused with 'similar' in translation...)
