Both the Americas and European writers write about things and events that are going on in their country. You may see that they are writing in the country they live in by their settings that they have described. American writers will most likely write their stories about slavery, wars, and politics, that were going on at the time. Such as "The Destructors" containing gangs and the destruction of a house, that was the only standing house in a bombing area. Europeans will most likely have religion in theirs. Such as the "First Confession" containing the priest and the boys honest in his first communion.
