Patricia needs 2 pints of purple icing to decorate cupcakes. She will use the following recipe for 1 pint of purple icing. 1 pint of white icing 4 1/4 teaspoons of blue food coloring 2 1/2 teaspoons of red food coloring Explain two different ways for Patricia to find the total number of teaspoons of blue and red food coloring necessary to make the 2 pints of purple icing. Solve the problem both ways. Trying so hard to help my sister here haha haven't been in the 7th grade for a LONG time. Can y'all help me out?

Not sure if this is it, but this is my take on it.. (1x+4.25y + 2.5z) = 1 pint of purple icing x=y=z so if you want 2 pints of purple icing.. (1(2)+4.25(2)+2.5(2)) so 8.5 of blue food coloring and 5 of red food coloring
