The #1 reason people got passed over for being an Ambassador was simply not having been on long enough. There are others that had trouble (reports/warnings/suspensions) in their recent past.

Just as a bit of advice, we look at the last 6 months unless there is a site usage gap. So you can't take 6 months off... but you can have a recent record that is good and all is forgiven.

So there has been some chatter about the OSSF. I want to say that I have been working with this group and am happy to report that their motives appear to be pure! (-: They want to help the site as well. And want to do in a different way. We are working with them and you will hear more in the days to come.
