To understand your question let's see an another example. Let's study what happens when we cross Homozygous Tall pea plant with Homozygous short pea plant. In this case we know that Tallness is dominant over shortness.

So we see that only dominant trait gets expresssed when we cross homozygous tall with homozygous short.
