If a user feels like giving a medal, he will.
Now, as far as the answer goes, even if Pharaoh sometimes kept pets, the Egyptians in general did not.

They had cattle, ships (which they worshiped, but the Pharaohs pretended to worship, but instead ate they tasty meat)  and so forth

Animals were primarily used to do works in a field (an this was everywhere, not just in Egypt).

So there is your answer, it is a NO .
