Plug in each pair into the inequality to see if the result is less then negative 3. Keep in mind for it to be less then negative 3 it has to be a bigger negative number.

It is A because if you plug in the first pair of numbers into the inequality it is 2 - 6 < -3. When you solve it it becomes -4 < -3, which is a true statement and therefore the answer is correct.
