why CO2 release is higher in germinatng seeds comparing to other plants ( soybeans and spinach leaves)? Please help me

I am not sure, botany is something that i learned too many years ago. But as much i remember, germinating seeds do not perform photosynthesis but performs only respiration. On other hand green leafy plants perform photosynthesis so they consume part of the CO2 released during respiration.

That's why CO2 output in germinating seeds is greater.
