Carla walked 5/6 of a mile last weekend. This weekend she walked 1/3 as far. How far did Carla walk this weekend?

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Basically your problem is what is 1/3 of 5/6

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Of in math means multiply. So multiply to two fractions to get the answer :) \[\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\times \frac{ 5 }{ 6 }\]

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Do you know how to multiply fractions or are you good? :P

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

a

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Well, you would just do 1 multiplied by 5 to get 5. Then 3 multiplied by 6 which equals 18. You answer should be 5/18

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):
