Anyone in Alebra 2 for connections? much help needed :3 hehe

OpenStudy (driftracer305):

wat is the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the quadratic equation with roots -1+ 4i and -1 - 4i

OpenStudy (driftracer305):

ok...you just have to multiply both quantities...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so like -1 multiplied by 4i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.

OpenStudy (driftracer305):

if u have (x+5) (x+2) as two roots, to find quadratic equation you just multiply both to get x^2+7x+10 @meeds45 (-_-?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I took algebra 2 last year so hard to remember, but you need something line (x- 1+4i)(x+1+4i)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok then lol, multiply the 2 roots smarty and you'll get 17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not a quad equation

OpenStudy (driftracer305):

i meant after adding x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to incorporate the x variable, therefore: (x+1+4i)(x-1-4i)

OpenStudy (driftracer305):

well ur not true either coz u cant get just 17 with a 4i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Something like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i have like a step by step thing hehe
