OpenStudy (aamirgsen):

What are the coordinates of the midpoint of the line segment whose endpoints are (-5,4) and (-2,-1)? Also, I need to know how to do it :D

OpenStudy (aamirgsen):

@Mertsj you were typing? D:

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I said to think of the midpoint as the average. Do you know how to find the average of a group of numbers?

OpenStudy (aamirgsen):

Ohh I remember now we learned this in class haha you add both coordinates and divide by 2? @Mertsj

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes with the corresponding coordinates ex: for the x -5+(-2) = -7, divide that by 2 to get -7/2 = -3.5 the x coord of the midpoint is -7/2 or -3.5

OpenStudy (aamirgsen):

okay thanks that's the answer I got :D but I can't give two medals... :[]
