Hello OSSF! :)
Sorry for being so quiet lately, but now we can get started!

Our overall goal as OSSF is to minimize trolling and spamming here on OpenStudy

Here is how:

- We will watch chats and question posts

- *report* a user if we see them violating any obvious OpenStudy rules
Please do not make false reports!

- Make sure the report states the violation (many reports that moderators get are blank)
Please try to make the reports in a formal or polite tone.
things like "I NEED YOU TO DELETE THIS NOW!" is Not the right way to get a mod to help

Ok, I am ready. I will take math chat because I know how most of the trolls and spammers work. Also its the chat where the people know me most, so I can convince them to act maturely.

I will go through questions and report people ( not spam reports and not too many in one day) also I will be looking for people who are making spam questions and medalling parties xD and others who have made accounts to spam themselves.

Also do not get engage in arguments with any user. No matter how they behave you guys should always remain polite and should have a hold on your temper. If you think anyone is doing something wrong (violating the CoC or TaC), request them (and not order them) to stop it. If they refuse to do so, report them.

Remember being polite is a very big tool. You can easily handle many situations by just talking to them nicely [\(\href{http:///openstudy.com/study#/updates/546e2b8be4b0ecc3214a14b3}{\sf Example}\)]

a good example of a report is: "user is swearing in Math chat, please delete"
mods cannot see from which chat/group reports come from so try to include that in the report
quoting what the user themselves actually said also helps
for example: " user said "go suk ur mums ****" in math chat, please delete"

- Do Not try to handle the situation by yourself, let the trained mods take care of it.
If you for some reason cannot restrain yourself from jumping in,
please do your best to remain nice/polite no matter what.

- As a group, please Do Not gang up on any one. If a situation occurs where there are no active mods, pm fellow OSSF members to report. When responding to such pms be sure to consider the situation first before jumping on the bandwagon.

There should be a way to tag a mod in the chats.

Ahh..you can report the chats but keep this point in mind. All new and old members... When you see a violation of the Code of Conduct then take a screenshot and paste them into a word document. And later at the end of the day message me, Joel or Sleepyhead314 all the screenshots so we can talk to Abhisar. Also remember the mainpoint is to befriend the trolls.
So if you see anyone cursing then message them saying, "It would be nice if you did not use so much prfanity in the chats."
Also if someone is spamming the chats repeatedly with something message them, "Hi!" They will have to stop to reply and if they don't then in the chats politely tell them to not spam the chats.
If you get into any arguments leave the chat you are in and just move to another chat.
