OpenStudy (tkhunny):

What say you? A. A gray squirrel, chased by a dog {might want to put a comma in here} climbed hastily up the nearest tree. B. Many wild mushrooms frequently located under trees, can be used in medicines. Are we saying that mushrooms frequently build new homes and move to the lovely communities underneath the trees? Might want to fix that. C. Our aunt cooks delicious desserts using very little sugar. Who is it using the sugar? Might want to fix that. You just have to think about them.

C. Our aunt cooks delicious desserts using very little sugar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does seem like C may be the correct answer, but i do believe there should be a comma there after the word desserts. tkhunny explained why the first two are also grammatically incorrect. if you try saying the last one in your head putting the commas in different places, nothing seems to sound right, correct? i do believe D is the best answer(:

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Note: I pathologically use too many commas. I may mislead you. :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, now that i look at it the answer might actually be C. i mean you could phrase D as there is your brother, waiting by the front door and leave C as is. i think either C or D could be the correct answer, but both could also have a comma within. I hate badly worded problems >:(

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

I'd go with C, but only because it needs other repairs, not because it's missing a comma.
